MIWA is the waste intermunicipal organisation for the Midden-Waasland region (Sint-Gillis-Waas, Sint-Niklaas, Stekene, Temse and Waasmunster): together more than 153,000 inhabitants. On behalf of these five municipalities, MIWA implements the Flemish waste and materials policy.

The issue
What we did
Waste containers are getting smarter, the need for more insight is increasing. We live in a time where everyone is thinking more about what they do and also what impact it has on the environment. From that point of view, waste intermunicipal association MIWA asked us to develop an app that makes this visual.
So we developed a new app that makes your personal waste consumption even more transparent: MIWA MY WASTE. Thanks to this app, you now always have all the useful waste info in your pocket. With a single click, you know immediately when your waste will be collected, but also how much your residual waste weighed at your last collection. You can also consult your bills and the collection dates via the app.
