This out-of-the-box solution allows citizens to purchase gift cards from their own city/municipality and spend them in the network of local entrepreneurs, which can be selected by the city or municipality. All this to boost the local economy.

ABOUT CIRKLO
WHO ARE WE?
Cirklo is a product of Fairville. This product once came about through the collaboration between Our City App & The Studio. Our City App develops a digital platform for mobile communication in cities & towns. Together with local governments, the company wants to strive for a #CityAsAService where communities are digitally unlocked by bringing all actors together in a 'one-APP-solution'.

The Studio was an initiative of Belfius bank that focused on digital innovation 'beyond banking'.

It combines the flexibility and efficiency of a start-up with the confidence and steadfastness of one of Belgium's major banks, which we hope will enable us to provide our clients with the best possible support on their way to digital innovation.
HOW DOES IT WORK?

You buy a voucher of your city/municipality through the webshop.

You receive the voucher by email. The voucher consists of a QR code that contains your chosen value. Partners who already have an 'Our Town App' can upload the voucher with the value into their city app. For example, after purchase you can upload the value of your 'Halle voucher' in the 'Halle application'.

You can consume the voucher at the connected (local) entrepreneurs, of the city or municipality in question. The voucher is partially spendable & the QR code remains the same.

Entrepreneurs can request the Euros on their account with 1 push of a button.
Of course all this is compliant with the latest privacy & GDPR laws.

We offer gift certificates from different municipalities and cities. Such a voucher carries the name of the municipality or city in question. Residents can use that voucher to reimburse purchases at participating, local business owners/service providers.

As a merchant in the Cirklo network, you can accept fraud-proof & easy local gift cards. This way you reach more potential customers! Also, converting vouchers to Euros on your account is simple & fast!

Does your city or municipality have a city application* from the company Onze Stad App? Then you follow next registration procedure . After you have completed this procedure, your city/municipality will contact you.
*You can easily check this by entering the name of your city or municipality in the App Store or Google Play Store. Does an application appear? Top, then follow the instructions at point 1. Does NO application appear? Then follow the instructions in point 2.

HOW CAN YOU USE THE CIRKLO APPLICATION?

- You will receive an invitation from your city/municipality via email.
By clicking on this invitation link, you can register and use Cirklo via your computer, tablet or mobile phone directly via your browser (chrome, safari,...).
Didn't receive your invitation?
You can check if your city/municipality is registered by clicking on this list. Then surf to the website of your city/municipality and fill in the application form.
- You can register with Cirklo by clicking the "register here" or "register with Cirklo" button in your invitation email. You can also get direct access to Cirklo via: merchant.cirklo.io
Pay attention! Please use the same email address where you received this invitation for registration, otherwise it will not work.

Your customer presents you a digital or paper gift card with a QR code on it
You open the Cirklo app
Click the "Scan" button and follow the steps:
- You enter the amount that the customer has to pay you
- You scan the QR code on the voucher
- You confirm the transaction and the payment is made.
Pay attention! For security reasons, always check the validity of the QR code of a gift voucher first by scanning it when paying.
Transfer Cirklos to your bank account ​

The conversion of your Cirklos into euros and the transfer to your bank account is automatic. You can determine whether the transfer takes place monthly or weekly during registration and in your settings.
DID YOU KNOW ... ? ​

To make it easier to access Cirklo in your everyday life, you can add it to the home screen of your mobile phone or tablet.
​You do not need to download and install the application from the Apple Store or Google Play Store. No time to download and install and no need to update.

Cirklo works the same way as other apps, just easier to reach!

How to add Cirklo to your home screen?

If you are in IOS , to add Cirklo to your home screen, open the Safari sharing menu and select the "On the home screen" option.
